REDUX ORIGINAL
Decided to undertake a new activity of revisiting my much older drawings, and redrawing them to see how much I managed to improve since then. Got the idea after digging through old work. Had quite the laugh in the process :D
This first one was one of my favorite drawings. I think I drew it in late 2006 maybe.
The character himself was intentionality made to imitate the likeness of Sora from Kingdom Hearts (hence the Mickey skull & key chain). It was drawn with a good 'ol biro pen, and (half) colored with prismacolor markers.
This was pretty cool to do, will definitely be doing it again in the future.
This was for yet another contest over at the Satellite Soda forums. The theme this time was Marvel characters in Tron apparel. I decided not to actually compete this time, but I still managed to get a decent concept down.
I was gonna do a Ghost Rider piece, made sense with the light cycle and whatnot. Regardless, here's the concept for him. I do like the holographic skull idea tho.
Another Lupus drawing. Figured I'd share an Ultima update (albeit a rather small one).
Lupus tends to be called 'Lu' by his closest friends. Although he doesn't typically mind, 'Luie' he's not so fond of.
Just a bit of insight on some of the characters personalities. More to come, no doubt.
Also, the design of him you see here isn't the final.
Another quick painting exercise.
Kinda went in wanting to do a much more detailed illustration, but ended up playing around with it more.
Eh guess I'm content with the outcome...I think.
A Long over due commission for Diamond Ivy on deviant art, of her character Farrell.
I'll be trying to post daily from now on. Which means much more sketches and warm-ups, and what have you. Overlapping an illustration or two every now and then.
Should be fun.
These were from a sketch session today, nothing too fancy.
Another concept illustration of Caliga, a bit more abstract this time. This was done traditionally in paint & inks on paper (with some touch-ups in photoshop.)
That being said, this was more or less an attempt to get a good vibe of the mysterious Caliga from the Efflixi story. There was more to the painting itself actually, but I decided to go with this composition in the end.
Next time you see him he'll be in a more presentable fashion, and he wont be alone :)
Gonna try to post daily from now on :)
